Sarah & Paul!

Several months ago I did a very mini photo shoot for my darling friend Sarah and her (then) boyfriend Paul. The pair stopped over in San Francisco  while on a road trip to Arizona. We snapped a few photos of the pair while I showed them around my fair city a little bit… Little did I (or Sarah!) know, Paul was planning a proposal in just a few short weeks! The couple is now engaged and planning a Spring 2011 wedding, which yours truly has been tasked with covering! I am so excited for this adorable couple!

Engaged!

Valeska & Tilo came to me looking for some photos for their Wedding Announcements. The couple are planning a very intimate wedding at San Francisco’s City Hall in early January. My husband & I actually went about getting married in basically the same fashion, so working with them was a real treat. It’s so wonderful when you can relate with clients, and offer tips (IE- Get married on the 4th floor of City Hall. There’s better light and more privacy!). Congratulations to his happy and beautiful couple! May your years together be filled with happiness & adventure :)

Franck & Emily

Emily and I met about 6 months ago and bonded over our mutual new-ness to San Francisco. She’s from Tennessee, and her Fiancé Franck is from Luxembourg. I have never in my life ever met someone from Luxembourg! In fact, prior to meeting Franck, you probably could have convinced me that Luxembourg didn’t even truly exist, and was simply the stuff of myths and legends– like Unicorns and Leprechauns. Franck proved that Luxembourg is not only very much a real country, but it’s citizens are warm, kind and incredibly friendly.

Franck is a fantastic guy, and the two together are one of the sweetest, most adorable and in-love couples that I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. And the best part? They are brand-newly engaged! Franck popped the question less than a week ago! We had initially planned this shoot simply as a ‘Couples’ shoot, but when Emily let me know that he had proposed, I was happy to change it over to an ‘Engagement Shoot’. It couldn’t have worked out more perfectly.

Ashley & Arthur

Digging into the vault a bit here to share with you some photos from Ashley & Arthur’s wonderful engagement shoot this past summer. These photos are new to my blog, and they are too sweet of a couple not to share them.

I’ll be shooting Ashley & Arthur’s wedding next September in British Columbia’s Okanagan Region– and I couldn’t be more excited! It will be an entire weekend of activities and fun in one of the most beautiful corners of the world. Here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session this past summer in Vancouver.

A card from Stacey

Today I received a ‘Thank You’ card, as well as an Engagement Card from my good friend Stacey. The Thank You card was just a note to tell me how “grateful” she is to have me as a friend, and how excited she is for me to shoot her upcoming wedding. The Engagement card was to congratulate me on my recent engagement.

Stacey & I met on our very first day of Junior High and have been close ever since.. as such, she is not only one of my oldest friends, but also one of my very dearest. She has been there for me through times of happiness and sorrow, ups and downs, craziness and calm.. But her commitment and loyalty to be has never wavered.

Stacey is also fairly recently engaged (though, she beat me by a few months!) and when it happened, it was only natural that I offered to shoot not only her wedding, but also engagement. We did the engagement shoot shortly there after… and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for August 2010 for her wedding! It’s a privilege and an honor to play such an important role for someone as wonderful and dear to me as Stacey. So today, I wanted to share some images from her Engagement shoot– shot a couple months ago in Vancouver, Canada (my wonderful hometown!)
