a new addition

I have a little bit of exciting personal news! I have adopted a cat!

I actually adopted her in December, however I wanted to make sure that she would settle in with my dogs prior to making the big announcement. It has now been 2 months though, and I am happy to say that things are going very smoothly. She is not exactly best-pals with my two French Bulldogs quite yet, but every day brings progress.

She is a 2 year old Calico who was an outside cat prior to me bringing her into my little apartment. I wasn’t quite sure how she would like indoor life– but so far she seems pretty pleased. She spends the majority of her time getting cat hair all over my bed and wrestling with my bathmats. She is quite the feline! Welcome ‘Xyla’!

Rodeo Beach

My Husband and I recently paid a visit to ‘Rodeo Beach’ with our French Bulldog, Oslo. It was a beautiful, windy day and the waves were crashing hard on the beach. The shore (which is a designated ‘off leash dog area’) was dotted with families, surfers and other dog owners like us, out to enjoy some fresh air and time together. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!

Charlie

While visiting our friends Pat & Emily in Los Angeles this past weekend, I nabbed some shots of their adorable little dog, Charlie. Charlie is a ‘Coton Du Tulear‘, and such a charactor. We brought along our French Bulldog for the weekend, and the pair had a great time playing.  Charlie has his very own blog– you can check it out here.

december 1st already?

Where has this year gone off to?

December 1st means shopping and decorating. Writing cards and attending parties. Baking and eating. Family and friends. It has long been my favorite month and my favorite season! Justin & I will be spending the holidays this year with his (soon to be *mine* as well) incredible family in New Jersey.  I am beyond excited as I have never been to the East Coast and will be meeting many new faces.

On an unrelated note, here’s a photo of Oslo– our French Bull. Handsome little devil, isn’t he?

Rocco goes to the groomer

Meet Rocco. He’s a friend’s dog, and I helped her out today by bringing him into the groomer. It just occured to me that I should have taken a ‘before’ photo of him. D’oh! Suffice it to say– he looks like a new man after his groom!

Rocco loves coming over to play with my French Bulldog, Oslo. They’re good buddies! Unfortunately, there was no time for a playdate today. Just the groomer– Rocco needed it badly! They must have cut off about 5 inches of fuzz from him! Bless his little heart.

And here he is on his front door step. Happy to be home!
